a name that refuses to die down, a name that refuses to be buried, a name that refuses to be forgotten. years after her tragic death, Baloch’s name is still alive and still resurfaces amidst conversations. In this painting I tried to show her unusual story. The fame, hatred, guts and the most interesting and famous video where she asked "how im looking?" And ofcourse her murder and the impact made an answer to her forever!

32x40 Oil On Canvas Concept: basically significance of wearing Big Fancy Nose Ring, as it's assumed a sign of solemn and honor of a woman at the time of marriage. wearing nose rings is seen as a symbol of marriage in many cultures across India and Pakistan and the nose ring is often removed at the death of her husband. Also it is preferred that girls should get their nose pierced at the age of 16 which is traditionally the marriageable age. It is seen as a way to honor Goddess Parvati. According to popular ancient beliefs, the directly exhaled air of the wife affects the health of the husband. So, if the woman wears a nose ring, the air comes through an obstruction of the metal which apparently does not have any bad health effects. This is mostly a superstition which was popular in ancient times and this is one of the oldest custom that people still follow faithfully. For me this particular ritual is extremely musing and inspiring.
